2026 Private Treaty Bulls
Every year, we make a large group of private treaty bulls available immediately after our Annual Bull Sale. We set these bulls aside intentionally as an extension of our customer service beyond sale day. In fact, this is one of the ways we are truly unique in the Northwest — we maintain a strong inventory of bulls available on a first-come, first-serve basis throughout most of the spring turnout season.
We market these bulls this way for a reason. Sometimes a customer isn’t able to secure enough bulls at the sale. Sometimes life’s schedule gets in the way and they can’t attend or participate. Bulls get injured and need to be replaced — whether from this year’s purchase or an existing bull battery. Some ranchers expand and add more cows or heifers in the spring and suddenly need additional coverage. The list goes on.
The competitive advantage we offer over most of our peers is simple: we have quality Sim-based genetics available in quantity after the sale so we can continue to serve you when others cannot. Our goal is to make sure you are never left short when breeding season arrives.
How Pricing Works
Pricing is formula-driven, and we provide complete transparency through an attached spreadsheet that shows exactly how each bull’s price is calculated.
Here’s how the formula works:
You help set the market. The base price is established from our Annual Bull Sale average.
Phenotype comes first. Bulls are sorted into phenotypic groups through visual appraisal, with structured discounts applied accordingly.
Value-added options increase price. Additional pricing applies for bulls offering added advantages such as age advantage, Tenet, or Right Choice qualifications.
Clear deductions are applied where appropriate. These may include temperament, other blemish considerations, unregistered status, or a spring born bull discount.
Every Private Treaty bull has been raised alongside our sale bulls. They receive the same care, health protocols, and development program. Each bull has passed a Breeding Soundness Exam and carries our industry-leading guarantee backed by our advanced genetics.
Our success is directly tied to yours. Maintaining this supply of bulls helps ensure you get every cow bred this spring. We sincerely appreciate your continued support and your commitment—not just to our program, but to the greater beef industry as a whole.
